United travel to Chichester to face Moneyfields in their final game of the FA Women's National League season.

Abingdon United conclude their season this weekend when they face Moneyfields away from home in the FA Women’s National League Division One South West.

United come into this game on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Swindon Town. A brace from Gipsy Viveash was enough to claim the points for The Robins.

Despite the defeat, Paul Corrie’s side have a chance to end the season on a high when they travel to Chichester to face 3rd place Moneyfields.

The Moneys were on the wrong end of a narrow defeat to title chasing AFC Bournemouth last time out.

Kau’inohea Taylor’s equaliser wouldn’t be enough for Sunday’s hosts, who are guaranteed a 3rd placed finish in the FAWNL Division One South West.

Pre-Match Thoughts – Paul Corrie

United face a Moneyfields side who have competed well near the top of the FAWNL Division One South West this season.

Boss Paul Corrie looked ahead to the game, stating that it should be a good match up between the two sides.

Corrie said: “Sundays game will see us go up against Moneyfields that had a great FA Cup run this season and have finished 3rd in the league.

“We are going down with a full squad and all looking forward to our final game of the season. Moneyfields fixture is always a tasty one so it should be a really good game.

“All the players/staff are looking forward to it plus know that after 90 minutes we’ll all go into a well-deserved break before preseason in July.

“A positive result will see us finalising a successful first season in the National League.”
