We're delighted to announce that Caitlin Crierie will remain at Abingdon United in 2025/26.
The highly rated goalkeeper joined from Oxford United last summer, and stood out in the Women's National League during the season.
Crierie made 27 appearances in all competitions last season, and was our highest appearance maker of the season, playing in every game of the campaign.
Our No.1 attracted interest elsewhere after an impressive season, but has committed to United for 2025/26.
Crierie said on staying at the Yellows: "I’m very happy to re-sign with Abingdon United for this season.
"I’m excited to get back with the team and start the new season fresh and to continue the momentum we gained near the end of last season."
Women's First Team Manager Chris Smith said: "Caitlin cleaned up at the awards last season with two vital accolades that were fully deserved.
"Considering her age, her talent, commitment and passion to learn are unrivalled so for us to secure Caitlin’s signature again for next year, knowing the interest that has been around her and the offer she has had, we are absolutely ecstatic.
"Caitlin will continue to be the linchpin of our team and the team will hopefully again, watch her grow whilst she continues to help us push on for this season."
