We are seeking dedicated and passionate volunteers to join our Tier Four women's Football team, for the upcoming 2026/27 season

Abingdon United WFC are building for the upcoming FA Women’s National League (Tier 4) campaign and are recruiting passionate individuals to join the club in key voluntary roles.

If you're looking to gain experience, grow your network, and be part of a progressive women’s football environment, we want to hear from you.

Head of Commercial (Volunteer)
Responsibilities:
✔ Liaising with local businesses and sponsors to support players and the team
✔ Managing relationships with current sponsors to secure repeat partnerships
✔ Creating brochures and developing partnerships with local businesses
What you’ll gain:
✔ Hands-on experience in sports commercial operations and sponsorship management
✔ The opportunity to build a strong portfolio of partnerships and business development work
✔ Networking opportunities with local businesses and stakeholders
✔ Real-world experience that can support careers in sport, marketing, or business

Head of Social Media (Volunteer)
Responsibilities:
✔ Managing and running multiple social media platforms
✔ Promoting players, teams, sponsors, fixtures, and league updates
✔ Creating engaging content to build buzz and increase matchday attendance
✔ Developing your own professional portfolio through creative media work
What you’ll gain:
✔ Practical experience managing social media within a competitive football environment
✔ A strong, diverse content portfolio (graphics, posts, campaigns, engagement strategies)
✔ The chance to grow your personal brand and creative voice
✔ Experience valuable for careers in sports media, marketing, and digital communications

Coaching Staff (Volunteer)
Responsibilities:
✔ Working alongside the new management team (to be announced)
✔ Supporting first-team players and coaching staff
✔ Planning and delivering training sessions
✔ Contributing to the development and performance of a Tier 4 squad
What you’ll gain:
✔ First-hand coaching experience within a FA Women’s National League environment
✔ Opportunities to develop your coaching style and session planning skills
✔ Exposure to senior-level players and a competitive football structure
✔ Experience that supports coaching badges and progression within the game

Strength & Conditioning (SnC) Coach (Volunteer)
Responsibilities:

✔ Designing and delivering strength & conditioning programmes for players
✔ Supporting injury prevention, recovery, and physical performance
✔ Working closely with coaches to align fitness with tactical needs
What you’ll gain:
✔ Practical experience in athlete development within a competitive football setting
✔ The opportunity to build a performance-focused portfolio
✔ Exposure to working with senior players and coaching staff
✔ Experience beneficial for careers in sports science, fitness, and performance
