We're delighted to announce that Lauren May has signed on for the 2025/26 campaign at Abingdon United Women.
May surpassed 100 appearances for the Club during last season, having joined the Club in summer 2019.
A key player in the United attack last season, May made 24 appearances in all competitions, contributing to 10 goals in those games.
May said on re-signing for the Club: "I’m pleased to be signing on for another season.
"I’ve been part of this club for a long time and it’s a really special group, both on and off the pitch. I can’t wait to get started and see what we can achieve together this season!"
Manager Chris Smith said: "I don't think it’s appreciated enough that someone would make 100 appearances for a football club in the female game.
"Lauren has always been extremely committed, hard-working, driven, passionate, talented and demanding of my own self but also her team.
"Lauren has been a leader since day one and has led by demand but also by all of our attributes above. She's been there, and pivotal, to the highest and the lows of Abingdon United.
"She epitomises what we are about so for us to secure her signature once more is perfect for us."
