Gilmore signed on at The Northcourt in 2023, having previously played for Oxford United and Southampton Women's FC. Our Vice-Captain will be entering her third campaign at the Club.

Libby said on staying at United: "For me, it was always going to be another season here at Abingdon.

"I absolutely love this club and the group we have here. There’s such a positive vibe around and I really believe we have the potential to achieve great things this season.

"I’m so excited to be a part of it and can’t wait to get going."

Women's First Team Manager Chris Smith said: "It’s hard to explain the impact of having Libby Gilmore at Abingdon United next season. Last year she was instrumental in dragging players through games and get results, these traits are hard to find.

"Having the benchmark for quality and passion in Libby, is something that allows you to drive quality and demand levels.

"Libby has a lot of talent mentally and physically, which is why we are ecstatic that she’s decided to stay at the club for the next season. Players and coaches look up to Libby, and we are confident she can bring that leadership again next season."
