We're delighted to announce that Millie Hodge will continue at The Northcourt next season, after signing on for the 2025/25 campaign.
Hodge spent time in her youth at the likes of Reading and Bristol City before joining The Yellows last summer. She made her debut against Bridgwater United as a second half substitute in the opening weekend of the 2024/25 campaign, before making her full debut against Moneyfields a week later.
Initially part of our development side, Hodge quickly established herself in United Women's First Team. The defender made 26 appearances in all competitions, and earned joint Young Player of the Season, alongside Caitlin Crierie.
Millie said on signing for the new season: "I’m really excited about being a part of Abingdon again for the new campaign.
"After us having a fantastic second half of last season, I'm confident we’re going to pick up right where we left off.”
Manager Chris Smith said on Hodge re-signing: "Young Player of the Season 2024/25 at the Yellows is not something that everyone can pick up.
"To know her background, her age, where she started just 12 months ago to being a sure thing at CB in Tier Four is madness. Her talent is clear for everyone to see but also her passion to improve is one of the best in the group.
"Her humility, her desire, her commitment and her bravery make up just part of Millie Hodge, the rest is pure talent.
"Her ambitions will lead her higher and higher, but for now, and with her new number, MH4 will again grace The Northcourt on Sunday's for Abingdon United in the 2025/26 season, and we are so happy for that."
