First Team Manager – AUWFC (Women’s Team)

AUWFC is seeking a passionate, driven, and well-connected First Team Manager to lead our women’s side into its next phase of development and success. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed coach who understands the women’s game and is ready to make a meaningful impact both on and off the pitch.
The successful candidate will hold a minimum UEFA B Licence and demonstrate a strong knowledge of player development, match preparation, and team leadership within the women’s game.

Key Responsibilities
The First Team Manager will take full responsibility for the overall performance, development, staff, and culture of the team. This includes planning and delivering high-quality training sessions that reflect the club’s philosophy and ethos, while creating an environment where players can thrive and progress.
You will lead all matchday operations, including squad selection, tactical planning, and in-game management.

A strong understanding of the modern women’s game is essential, alongside the ability to analyse performance and adapt strategies accordingly.

Player development sits at the heart of the role. You will work closely with players to support their technical, tactical, physical, and psychological growth, ensuring each individual reaches their potential while contributing to the team’s success.

The manager will also play a key role in recruitment and retention, using existing networks and connections within the game to identify and attract talented players who align with AUWFC’s values and ambitions.

Off the pitch, you will collaborate with club staff and stakeholders, helping to build a positive, inclusive, and ambitious culture. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to represent the club professionally within the wider football community.

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a leader who is passionate about the women’s game, committed to continuous development, and capable of building strong relationships across the squad and wider club.
The ideal candidate will bring energy, organisation, and a clear vision, along with the connections needed to strengthen and grow the team.
