Women's Coaching Staff Update: Reuben Hazelby joins The Yellows

Abingdon United WFC14 May - 11:00

Hazelby joins the United Women coaching staff as Performance Analyst ahead of the 2025/25 season.

Abingdon United Women are delighted to announce that Reuben Hazelby has joined the Women's First Team Coaching Staff as Performance Analyst, as we prepare for the 2025/26 FA Women's National League campaign.

Reuben is currently studying at UCFB (University Campus of Football Business), with previous experience in other coaching roles prior to joining The Yellows.

On joining the club he said: “It’s a pleasure to have the opportunity to join this club.

"I can’t wait to get involved with the team and staff and get to work straight away!”

Head Coach, Chris Smith, said on Hazelby joining: “We are so happy that Reuben has chosen to come on board as the Performance Analyst.

"Having someone to specifically review data and footage, along with identifying weaknesses and strengths, allows the coaches to focus more on the coaching aspect knowing that the in-depth detail will be done by someone dedicated to that field.

"Reuben matches our passion, ethos and attitude in trying to prepare the best way for games and the season coming up

"We’re excited to work with him and glad we have managed to get him on board.”

Hazelby joins our women's first team coaching setup, with Chris Smith, Wayne Tingey and Sam Keen all committing to the upcoming campaign. We wish Sam Froud all the best for the future, as he departs the club.
