Sam Keen joined Abingdon United during the summer of 2024, in a big step for the club to improve performance standards.

A personal trainer outside of football, Keen continues to drive the players to new levels, to ensure they can meet the demands of FA Women's National League football. He has also filled in as goalkeeping coach at the club during the 2024/25 season.

Keen is also in the playing side of football, with Gloucestershire-based side Moreton Rangers.

In May 2025, it was announced that Keen would become United Assistant Manager for the 2025/26 campaign.
