Isla Russell joined United in summer 2024, upon the introduction of what was then Abingdon United Under 17s.

Vital to many memorable moments for United U17s last season, the striker scored 27 goals in all competitions during 2024/25, including a brace in the Oxfordshire Girls Football League Plate Final, which United went onto win on penalties in Thame.

She also scored twice on United U17s' debut game at The Northcourt, in a 4-2 win over Didcot Town back in April 2025.

Russell will continue at United in 2025/26, as part of our Under 18s side.
